Why does Destin get dirty faster than inland towns?
Destin is a narrow strip of land with water on both sides and the harbor running through it. On most of the peninsula there is no truly sheltered wall: if an elevation is not facing the Gulf, it is often facing the bay or the harbor. Salt settles on every side, holds moisture against the paint and feeds algae in the shaded corners.
Around the harbor there is a second kind of grime — exhaust film and marine dirt on railings, glass and canopies. Water alone does not shift it; it needs a degreasing cleaner before the rinse.
What should Destin owners wash first?

Pressure or soft wash?

Book the big jobs between October and April, when bookings are lighter and the weather is drier. During the season, a house wash can still fit into a changeover day: most homes take 3 to 5 hours, and walkways dry within an hour in the sun.
